Has anyone ever had any dealing with them in the past?
I currently have an adopted (orphan) female wild mouse with one of my males in attempt to breed them. They are getting along just fine and she is VERY talkitive.
They are both agouti, she is a self and he is a broken brindle. Their litter would consist of 50% agouti's with a possible RY thrown in from his background, along with the possiblity of brindle.
I've heard that people want F1's because wild mice have been known to live longer in captivity than fancy mice, therefore, it would lengthen their offspring's lifespans.
What, if any, thoughts do people have on the subject?
Most people I've spoken to don't believe in keeping wild mice as pets, but I found her when she was young and she doesn't know much else. Also, I understand the risk of breeding an animal I don't know the history of, but I do know that she is clean and safe. (Vet approved.)
