Ok for a long time this rat forum was number 1 in this section of Pethobbyist's forum.. then it kind of went down for a while & ferrets took over.
Rats are just about to take back what is rightfully theirs.. so we need to post a lot & make those ferrets take a back seat again. hee hee

I have a short rat story to tell.
All 4 of my new babies are correctly responding to their own names.
YAY
I love it when they know who they are.

Let's Post!

That sounds like a great plan I'll definitely be posting a lot when I am here. Rats need to be number one again!

Fun thing about your babies! My husband didn't believe rats could learn their own names, but I taught them and it's so funny. They definitely know their names... though Tchaikovsky and Fillmore will come to me any time I say *anybody's* name because they're needy little brats!

All of my rats know their own names but like you I do have a few that will come running anytime I say anybody's name. I can be speaking to my husband and a couple of my rats will come running to see what I am up too. They look at me as if to say How dare you give him attention and not speak to me. Hmmph. LOL

LOL that's so funny & it's the way some of them are. HEY I'm here how dare you NOT pay attenion to ME!
ROFL!!

I was surprised last night when they were in the playground.. I don't sit with them the entire time they are in it because I spend part of their time out spot cleaning their home then getting fresh water & food for them.
I walked by the playground to give them a treat & said "Girls"
3 of them came running. I thought that was really neat considering they haven't been here all that long yet.
