Why don't you just take them to the vet and have a general checkup done. The vet can tell you if there's anything there... and they can get a general health clearance...

That's never a bad idea. Vet bills are part of pet keeping. I'd had my new babies for a week, they went in for a wellness check up just because ALL my pets do that especially when they first get here.

I'm pretty sure you have gone to college and found money to be a hard thing to come by...

I can't just go to a vet right now. I need that money for my own food! However, I do think I have enough to schedule an appointment..but whatever the case I will keep you guys informed of what is up.

Ahh but shouldn't they be offered as treats only?

I really do think you should schedule an appointment. Better safe than sorry you know? If I ever wonder whether a rat of mine is feeling under the weather I take them in for my own peace of mind. I do understand your circumstances are different though. But, whatever happens please update us.

Yea I'd do the same thing. But now I am not sure what I am going to do. So much stuff is going through my mind now.

QuietPoet Mar 06, 2007 09:40 PM

Yes... I have gone to college and found money to be an issue....... and I am there currently.

However, I wouldnt get a pet unless I could afford the medical bills tha come along with one.

coluberking25 Mar 06, 2007 10:33 PM

I can afford it...just my parents aren't happy if I have to..lol. I'd like to wait till I got home to get treatment. Would bathing with baby shampoo in the meantime be ok?

QuietPoet Mar 07, 2007 09:40 PM

Baby shampoo won't do any good for the lice or whatever it is. All it will do is clean them... it wont kill anything on them.
