Hi guys. Ok - I haven't had a single name idea for the piggies, and you know, I just never would have imagined I'd be putting neosporin on a guinea pig butt, but here I am. This morning there was this cute warbling coming from the cage, and they are eating like - well - like pigs. AND the male was "pursuing" his wife a little bit. I have to wonder what on earth that witch did to them. They had 2 litters and then nothing. But only one night in my house and he's feeling romantic? This is too strange.

Meanwhile, hubby is calling our house the ark. 2 cats, 2 rats, and now 2 guinea pigs - and we HAD 2 dogs. He left for the weekend, muttering something about what he was going to find when he got home.............hee hee.....

I kid you not folks, th e only names I have come up with so far for the piggies is Ozzie and Harriet, and that just seems too strange.

How about PC and Pixel? I've narrowed it down to 3 - Fred and Ethel, or Romeo/Juliet.

They're doing pretty good th is morning. More Neosporin on his backside and they're off to the races, warbling all the way.

Today's big chore is to clip Lucy's toenails for the first time. HOpe she doesn't hold a grudge.

ANd I am definitely going to have to find a dog. The house is too quiet without my big guy.

Good glad to hear they are doing better.
Gawd don't ya just hate some people? I don't understand how they can ignore a pet while it suffers!

I hope you find a dog soon. I know what you mean about the quiet.. I just can't stand not having a dog.

A couple of months or so ago before I got the new baby rats & now I have only Natalie left from the 2005 rat group my vet said to me:
"Maybe you ought to try another type of rodent?"

I told her, no I can't. To me not having rats in the house is like not having a dog.. I have to have both. I just do..
She understood that & then of course fell in love with the baby rats when she saw them.

I did find one puppy but he is in Alabama - an American Bulldog. Shipping is a problem because of where he is, so I don't know that the breeder is going to want to send him north.

I just REALLY need a new dog. I'm still getting up at night and stepping around the yukon-spot where he slept every night.

Today I clipped Lucy the rat's toenails for the first time and we both did great, so that made me feel good. THe guinea pigs are a little freaked by the cats, but on the whole are doing well. That little bum is really raw though; I think he'll be getting neosporin on there for awhile yet.

They are 4. I wonder................??

I talked to a friend of mine yesterday who lost both her guinea pigs AND her last pair of rats within days of one another not long ago. Man.

I think the piggers are going to be pc(boy) and pixel)girl). Now I just have to figure out how to put a picture on here, so you all can meet the pigs, rats, etc.

I like the name choices! Very cute!

To post pics, you need to go here and upload them to your gallery. gallery.pethobbyist.com/index.php Then when you post a new message to this forum, it will list all of your pictures at the bottom of the screen, so you can highlight them and choose which ones you want to post. HTH

Hey, I've got some names for the guinea pigs. You live in an ark- how about Noah and Naamah (believed to be Noah's wife's name, though no one is certain)?

Betty & Barney lol
Herman & Lily
Morticial & Gomez

I remembered at the college in 2001 they had a pair of gps, the male was abyssinian- the students thought he looked punk so they named them Sid & Nancy..
Frankly I don't want my own pets named after a junkie. lol

Hi;

Yea, you can get a lot of tv shows, movies, audible books, etc and put them on iPod. I love it. Great when you are driving through the woods or sitting in waiting rooms.

I found a puppy in Muscle Shoals AL and now have to figure out how to get him here to MN. The airline schedules are just too weird for words.

I didn't think of that. hee hee.
I hate sitting in waiting rooms just about more than anything I can think of with the exception of sitting in a car waiting on someone.
Good luck on getting the puppy to you!
