Ha ha - you have created a monster! LOL. I uploaded a very few select photos to share with you all. I confess, only one is a rat photo, but I think you'll like the others too. To start with though, I'm linking to 2. Lucy is sleeping on my arm, kicking her foot and eating in her sleep. The other is Yukon, the dog I just lost.

Cool! Now I putting 3 more up. The first one is an osprey who was hanging around. Then we have Yukon again, he wanted to go fishing. And then is a graphic demonstration of what can happen when people spend TOO LONG in the woods. LOL. Hope you like 'em.

Yukon was gorgeous!

I don't know where you were in the woods, but it looks beautiful. I can't wait until summer, I need to get outside! I took a rat camping once. Ari was on 3 different meds and I didn't want to leave her with a pet sitter because I was worried she'd go downhill and I wouldn't be there. (She had a nasty abscessed tooth pulled/infection in her jaw- maybe cancer, we never really knew). She LOVED being outside and at night, she slept in my sleeping bag with me. She was a good girl and didn't even chew any holes in it. She may have left a raisin or two, though.

Hi;

Thanks so much. I always thought Yukon was pretty handsome too. We loved him so much - he was my hero - he actually saved our son's life 3 years ago, but we knew he was special from the first day we brought him home. He was always "larger than life" in so many ways.

We're in Minnesota, up on the Canadian border. The cabin pix are taken inside Voyageur's National Park on the island we had leased. Now the park has taken all the cabins and torn them down, but we had 11 great years up there. When I look at the photos I can still smell the trees and hear the waves.

How sad that they took all the cabins down!

I'm in eastern WA- we have some really great camping places nearby. My favorites are probably Glacier National Park (but it gets so crowded), and a little no-name place near Metaline Falls on the Canadian border. I love being in the woods.

Good luck in your new dog search. No dog will ever replace Yukon, but I'm sure he wouldn't want your family to be without a protector.

Yukon was a beautiful dog! And the one of the rat sleeping... I guess she's pretty rotten, huh?
