Two days ago I lost my favorite little mouse, and today my hairless rattie boy Franz felt cold and was breathing really loudly, so my friend Trish warmed him up while I mixed him up some antibiotics and gave them to him, and he didn't want the kitten milk I made him. Trish went across the street to her house for her car keys to drive us to the emergency vet, and while she was gone Franz apparently had a heart attack and died in my arms. All this happened in about 45 minutes. It was so awful, I didn't know what to do for him, all I could do was just talk to him. Franz was a really wonderful little rat, and I hate that he's gone. He wasn't even seven months old. He's always been really healthy, he's never even had the sniffles or anything. Then this all of a sudden. It's been a really rough couple of days.

I am pretty shaken up still, I haven't had one of my little ones die in my arms before and it was very upsetting. I'm just glad that whatever was wrong isn't hurting him anymore.
