when it rains it pours

Good grief guys, maybe it is the time of year, but this is crazed. I got a bird training job this week. I know the bird and he likes me so that is good, but dang. Gonna have my hands full with a puppy, a cat and now a reclamation project.

The cockatoo the local pet store had was sweet but every time I went in there I could see he was getting a little more out of control, and the pet store ladies - well the one loves him but let him push her around and the other lady didn't like him. So he was living in a place that was too busy for him - I think he's been on sensory overload - and one of the people interacting with him did not like him, so I know he sensed that.

Well it finally happened. He got booted. His wings weren't clipped, he was frustrated, and he started dive-bombing the customers.

So guess what ELSE is moving into my house. Freddie. He will get his wings clipped first, and then "birdie boot camp" starts in an attempt to save him. They are giving him to me, as well as the cage he was in. But he will need a bigger cage as soon as I can find one to rent or borrow.

In the meantime, the persian kitten is going to be flying I guess, if I can swing the plane ticket for him. Can't wait to meet the little guy - too bad his folks got divorced - get this. The guy sent his wife an EMAIL telling her he wasn't coming home. How cold is that! She has 2 handicapped kids and the kitten needs more physical maintenance than she's got time for these days - she knew I had a soft spot for him and he would be happy here, so asked if I would take him.

On the other hand, the puppy hasn't happened yet. Death in the other family.

When it rains it really does pour. And I am starting to wonder if I am nuts. Must be the time of year.

It's just that it's true, when it rains it pours!
Sounds exciting about the cockatoo!
About that guy sending an email what a cold blooded jerk!
A coward is what he is.

Poor bird! At least now he will have a good home!

An e-mail??? I'd flip out!!! What a jerk. Jerk times a thousand. I'd find him and strangle him!!

Hang in there, once everyone is home and settled in it will all be all right.
