First time I've seen this

PHRatz May 10, 2007 09:51 AM

Dolly Raton has really become my favorite because she's so busy, so loveable.. she's always all over me when they come out to play.
I noticed last week that she wasn't breathing right, I could hear it. I thought OH NO the first one getting sick & it's my favorite one. With the last group Simone Signorat was a lot like Dolly & I lost her early on. I still haven't gotten over that!
I prayed for this not to be a repeat of Simone's problem.

I let it go for 3 days because I'd hear it off & on but by day 3 which was on the weekend, she sounded horrible.
I thought ok I have to get her started on something then see the vet Monday.
So I got her a some meds in a syringe & since she's never had anything like this it was hard getting it into her.
I did & when I did she smacked her mouth because it's fruit flavored so she decided she liked it.

This is the odd thing that I've never seen before.
Her breathing problem stopped right then. It's been days now & I have not heard any problem with her at all since Sat. evening.
Now I have to wonder.. did she have something lodged in her throat?
She doesn't act sick, doesn't look sick, doesn't sound sick.. so how weird is that?

Hmm, maybe she just needed you to fuss over her? I'm glad it didn't turn into anything really bad though.
