Lee and his Trip to the Vet

sarasmushu May 23, 2007 04:56 PM

I took lee to the Vet today just so he could Visit with his Auntie Karen one of the Receptionists she's Been Begging for me to Bring him up so she could meet him but it's been to pecking cold.
She happened to call to ask me to let my mom know that They where changing her appointment for tomorrow which doens't sound wierd but my mom DOESN'T Live with me!!!
So any way while we where there it was time to catch up on all the gossip. All these people are comming in and out all of them going What is that?!! so of course I have to explain what he is. EVERY Single one of those people wanted to hold him!!! I am so glad that None of them where afraid of him. Even the ones that Said they didn't like Rats thought he was Great!!
Apparently if you want People to like Rats you need to let them get used to them with a Hairless, not quiet as Freakey As there is no hair at all so it's not just the tail that causes the problems!!

Good job on your part!
You showed yet another group of people that rats are not at all what they think they are.

I've heard this before "oh but this rat is cute it's not like those sewer rats!"
Uhmmmmm yes it is, it's the same species LOL!

I love it when people get to see that a rat is adorable, friendly, and not a monster!
Ya done good!

btw did you find out what was up with them calling you about your mother's appointment?

Yeah the Original appointment was with the wrong Vet and that vet wasn't going to be there in the first place. they needed to get ahold of my mom to tell her that the time needed to be changed to be with the correct vet. but they couldn't get ahold of her. she had jury duty. so instead of leaving a message on her machine they figured Call Sara she'll get the message to her. It's just funny as all get go, I know I get along with everyone at my vets but I think that that proves it!

Yeah I think it does prove it LOL!
Hey that's good of them to call you.. it shows that they cared enough to find a way to get ahold of your mom so she'd know what the deal is.
I've used vets in the past who just really ticked me off with their lack of care so this is great!
