My rats are going to Kid's College & since they were infants in Feb. this will be their first time.

Yesterday one kid said I can't wait for rat day!
I hope they do ok, I think they will.. I love taking them because every year I end up with a lot of kids sold on how wonderful rats are as pets. Most of them have had hamsters before & this is not a slam against hamsters but we all know rats do make better pets. The kids can see it too.

I like doing this too for a more selfish reason. When the rats get home they are so happy that I am the only person holding them, they're grateful that they don't have to see a lot of strangers anymore so they bond with me even more than before.
I'll tell you how it goes after it happens.

Yesterday.. things did NOT go well with my tortoise. She's not going back again....

I'm with you, I've had just about every small furry pet and theres nothing as loving or companionable as a rat.
So.... did the tort leave the kids with an extra gift?

The rats were very popular again as usual! I didn't take Natalie this year, she's 2 & 1/2 years old now, I thought it'd be too much for her.
The little girls who're 6 months old did wonderfully.

Yes the tort left a HUGE surprise package.. ALL over the room ROFL!!
She was horrible though, hissing at people, pushing things around, she wasn't at all happy about being there so she's not going back again. I don't like upsetting her & that's what I did so no more of that.
