my boss came over tonight bring back my keys to my bobcat and to check out my chameleons. i told him about my female is ready but not receptive and my male isn't ready to breed. he says can't you pay a stud fee(he has race horses) and breed her with a chameleon that is ready or receptive. i told him first i'd have to find one to breed her with and second the other person would have to be close enough where i wouldn't have to ship her. it got me thinking though. has anyone had an arrangement like this either studding out your male or paying a stud fee to breed your female?

I bred Orion to someone else's male. We ended up sharing the eggs (or, I should say we are GOING to... once she lays them) 50/50. I would imagine that if there is someone near you with a cham they would arrange something with their stud for you. I think it's a good way to mix up the bloodlines without buying a ton of chams.

I have a friend with a pet store and she loaned out an adult male to me. It only took one day! We live near by so it was easy I don't know how that would work with shipping involved.
