Soft-Sorbent

PHRatz Jul 29, 2007 10:23 AM

Ok so yesterday was cage cleaning day & I opened this stuff up.
It says it's a wood fiber product, soft- absorbent- and flushable... although I would NEVER flush this stuff because we have to live with a sensitive septic system. lol
Ok so I started dumping this stuff in & it seemed ok but IMO it is not as soft as Carefresh. I put a layer of it on each floor then put Carefresh on top.
I think even with Carefresh in there if this stuff does not have good odor control then everything will start to smell & I'll notice it because the layer of Carefresh is thin.
So far so good but it's not been 24 hours yet.. I'll let you know if I like it better than Carefresh or not.

It's been 6 days now & they do not stink so maybe this stuff does do good odor control... there's not all that much Carefresh mixed with it.
They don't seem to mind it being in there either so I dunno I may try this stuff by itself for a week & see what happens.
