Update(long post again sorry)

To all of you that read about Honey's abuse case and such.... I've been sooo busy lately or I would have updated sooner =] She is doing so much better(although the swaying is still there obviously because of her eyesight). I took her to the vet almost 2 weeks ago after discussing my situation with him. He checked her over and said all her wounds healed great and the eyesight problem is probably because of head trauma and will be permanent.

Apparently she can only see light and some shapes, so we both agreed it's better not to just grab her up or I might lose a finger or at least a chunk! lol she's been very good about it so far as long as I talk to her while approaching the cage and messing around her cage and such.. As for the vet visit it costs $35 for the office visit and total only cost $56 =] so I had money left over to buy her chew things after the vet visit.

She was off quarantine also a week ago and although I was nervous introducing her to the other rats(because of horror stories from friends and fellow rat owners about introductions gone wrong), I introduced her to my 3 females on my bed without any problems, stuck her right in the cage, and they didn't even bother her! I was also told they would gang up on her or bully her but that never happened either.. I'm getting ready to move her and my albino female Ruby into a cage together since they are the calmest and Tink and Foxy are very obnoxious at times.

I'm really glad she made it through all this.. At first I was doubtful but everything turned out great. Thank you for all of your previous concerns and advice. Sincerely, Madison

Great I am so glad to hear that she's doing this much better.
Don't worry about her eyesight- they don't see all that well anyway so when they start to lose their sight even more, they adapt & do just fine.

Can't wait to see pics!
