My most recent litter has gotten their full coat and eyes and ears completely open. They are still nursing, but shouldn't be in about a week and a half.

I've had many litters before and none of them are quite like this one. These babies have quite long fur. They are about 3 inches long, including tail, and their hair is about 3/4 inch long. Am I jaded and just not remembering the same fur on my other litters, or are these guys longhaired? I guess what I am asking is, is this normal, or do I have a nice oddity? Will they outgrow it? I really hope not.
I also really wish my digi camera was working so I could show some piccies.
Opinions?

I also want to add that the same doe produced a male in a previous litter that had very short/choppy fur. Could she be carrying genes that mess with coats, or am I just imagining things?

Maybe?
I wish too that you could get some pics of this.
Could it be that there is some rex gene floating around in there?
I just don't know but maybe someone else has an idea.

I got my new digicam and got a picture of one of the babies. They have much longer fur than my new baby, Vangough, and they seem to be the same age as him. I know the picture quality is awful, but it was actually the best that I could get of this little guy. He would NOT stay still.
I hope it is possible to tell whether it is "normal" or bad-quality rexing or something from the picture still.
