I don't think I ever came back & posted about this.
We have the animal room almost completed since the fire & I did go out & buy a utility table to put the rats on. I can store my Shop-Vac under there, I like that since I use it every time I clean the rat cages.
I LOVE this table because now the rats are up to my eye level, easier for me to do what I need to do every day. I have room on the table to store all their Gerber's puffy treats and the Pam spray I use all the time to keep their wheels from squeaking. I put that stuff on the wall side so nobody can see it all sitting there.
They kind of freaked out in the beginning because everything had changed but now they can see us walking by the door when we're in the hallway, they love being able to do that.
We're not putting the dresser back in the room so now there is sooo much room for me to move around in the whole room. I'll have to take some pictures & post them soon.
There's still some trim we need to put up around the ceiling though so it's not complete.
Now I just wish my Martin's cages were powder coated the way the bird cages are. Huge mistake 7 years ago when I didn't buy the powder coated!
