Squirrel care rehab

Krisymof2 Aug 10, 2003 03:02 PM

I work at an environmental center here in Miami and was recently brought a baby squirrel that I'm guess is between 4 and 5 weeks of age, the eyes aren't open but he is covered in fur and has two front bottom teeth. I'm feeding about every 3-4 hours out of a feeder bottle puppy formula mixed with water, since I have not yet gotten any pedilite. I have him wrapped in old baby burp clothes inside of a wool lined ferret hammock, his stool is still a little runny but has improved since I recieved him. Just wondering if anyone had anymore information or tips on what I should or should not be doing. Thanks in advance.

get it to a wildlife rehab center or independent, licensed rehabilitator. You can not take care of it properly as you probably do not have certain things available (such as the right forumla ect.). Andy
