Took some poop to the vet. It is definitely coccidia. I am going to have to test my other guys to make sure they haven't gotten it as well. Luckily my caging conditions allow for them to be separated enough to prevent cross contamination or at least I'm hoping. As for the viral pneumonia I am not sure if that is the case and further testing will have to happen before medicating is an option.

Have any of you used this Poo Tea method for reintroducing good flora?

Thanks,
Aundrea

Aaahh, yes Coccidia. Doesn't surprize me. Evil little protozoans. Usually can be cleared up pretty easy. If the poo tea is feeding the feces back to the squirrels, I've heard of that but don't know if that is a vet approved thing and have never heard if it really works. I think it's dangerous if a fecal exam isn't done first (which you had done I know). I'd try getting Probios powder (lactobacillus powder) before I try that poo tea. Probios can be mixed with formula or other soft foods like mashed banana or apple sauce. Mix some in once per day. Benebac is another popular lactobacillus product. Usually in a paste. Again give alittle once per day. The latter may be easier to find. I'd ask a vet about "poo tea" first.
