Please help me…I’m worried about this little guy. I found Mr. Winky about a 6 months ago he was hit by a car. His shell had been cracked open and his side of his face and one eye were pretty messed up. Also he wouldn’t move his back legs at all but the vet said that was due to swelling inside of the shell and to give it time. Well here’s my problem…We’ve got the shell all better. We’ve been through the upper repertory infection with the shots and the forced feedings for a long time. Now are vet has up and quit on us. We were supposed to go back to her next month but now Mr. Winky is just not doing too good. He’s still not using his hind legs at all…he can move them but he just will not use them. He looks like his loosing muscle mass in the legs even though I make him move them every day. Now it looks like the skin on the hind legs (the part that is up in the shell or connected to the shell and leg) is coming out of the shell but can go back in again. Its like there is extra skin and the skin has air in it. Does anyone know what this is caused by? We’ve been through so much together I don’t want to lose the little guy now. Please Help!!!
We’ve been to another vet but He just don’t seem to have a clue about turtles!!!
