My name is Heather McKay and I am planning are starting a non-profit Exotic Wildlife Rehabilitation Center & Sanctuary. I already have all the paperwork information I need and am meeting with an attorney to get the ball running. He is going to set up my foundation and get me filed for the Non-Profit/Tax Exempt through the IRS. While this is in the works I will need to be doing 2 things [1] saving up money, looking for funding, fundraising, buying the land and building the facility and [2] volunteering somewhere that has Class 1 and Class 2 [at least Class 2] animals (preferably large cats) where I can get my hours and experience so that I can get the permits.
I am looking for somewhere around Tampa, FL where i can volunteer 8 - 10 hours a week and extra on my holidays and vacation time.
