I'm not sure if it's male or female, he's very pretty but he's also got a broken leg I believe. He was brought to me by a kid at work who was trying to feed it part of his cheetos. He knew I had snakes and asked me to find someone who could take care of him. Well snakes are one thing, but this little bird is all together different. I placed him in a box with some bedding, a lil bird seed and some water. Other than that, I'm lost as to where to take him. I've called my vets and they've promised to call me back. I was hoping one of you may know someone who could properly take care of this little bird. I realize he's wild and should have been left on his own, but with a kid bringing him in, I couldn't just leave him, he'd have just kept trying to shove cheetos down his throat. Thanks in advance for any help.
Oh and we don't have a branch of the national audobon society here or I'd have already called them.
