Completed Stand

Here is a photo of my stand for the 120 gallon after staining. I know you can still see the print on the wood, but like I said earlier, functionality over appearance. It was enough work as it is.

Nice stand you got there! Have you thought about doing some extra sanding to get the print off the wood?

No, Im satisfied with it how it is. I am however in the process of designing a rather large external filter that will stand to the left side of the tank and will cover up that side. I think the print adds a little "I built it myself" look. I live in an apartment now, so my woodshop isnt fully stocked yet. Im sure in the future, I will design a new stand and take the time to give it a more professional look.

The dimensions to my new filter will be about 48"Hx 30"Wx 24"D.
Its still in the design phase so I probly wont start building for about another month. I like to draw and redraw my idea many times so I can make sure the final design is what I really want.
