CHECK OUT MY NEW BEARDIE!!
i just made this pic, hes 25cm long with the tail. He has some red dots on his back...and i think hes healthy.

He appears to have a nice tail base for a young dragon and 10 inches is a nice size, well past the stage that small babies stress out from changes that can be so risky. I can also see that he has some fat pads on the head, so that tells me he had a good start and care in life.
His eyes are nice and round with no dark circling or corner drops so he has good hydration and no visual indications of problems seen sometimes in young beardies.
All those considered and just his overall general appearence.... looks like you picked out a nice healthy one!
Now, to keep him that way so you both enjoy a long time together..... tell us about your set up, temps, lights, substrate, diet etc
The temp at the warm side is about 30-34c..at the cooler end, well it's about 26-29c...I bought verry verry fine red sand i managed to get in a pet store (last one)...Right now it looks thick because it's still moist, fresh from the package...umm..i have a water dish about 4-5 cm deep,(exo terra medium water dish)
The cage is 80cm L, 40cm H, 35cm W.
LIGHTING:
As you can see there's a basking spot,(exo-terra infro red heat bulb )
Flourescent tube light (exo terra, day glow 2.0)
Is this enviorment good?
What's the brand name of the sand? If calcisand, remove it ASAP. I use washed and screened playsand and I never have problems, although others have reported impaction.

0.0.1 Bearded Dragon (Zeo)
0.2.0 Leopard Geckos (Unnamed, being sent right now from a reptile rescue)
1.0.0 Golden Retriever, Rocky, 10 years young
The set up looks and sounds goods. Is the warm side temp. the temp. your reading under the basking spot? If so, you might want to get it up around 38-40 deg. C. You didn't mention supplements. You need a calcium supp. that contains vit. d3. This is more important than your lighting. You also need a multi vitamin supp.
good luck
