Going into professional aquarium maintenance

jovian Mar 26, 2004 10:55 AM

I was considering going into professional fishkeeping and I was curious if anyone here could help me out a bit with some information. I would like to know more about professional aquarium maintenance services. The type were clients contract you to setup/maintain their aquariums. Specifically things I would like to know are: What is the wage I can expect starting/ending(please give a city/state so I can adjust for cost of living)? what are things you like/dislike about it? And what do I need to do to get a job in this industry? Note I was not thinking of opening my own buisness immediately but becoming employeed at a already established one in the area. A bit about myself College grad with Bs Degrees in Physics and Astrophysics. Have maintained a successfull 55g Freshwater aquarium for 5 years with a variety of species.

Cheers
