DIY protein skimmer

Does anyone know where I could find plans and instructions on how to make an external protein skimmer powered by a venturi pump? I work at a pet store and one of my coworkers set one up on the salt system that skims far better than any commercial one I've ever seen. He tried to explain to me how to make one, but I really need pictures for this kind of project. By the way, it's made from PVC. If you have any info, please let me know. Thanks, Mike
