Can Glass Poisin fish?

Rusty9 Nov 24, 2004 02:59 AM

Hi all

Are there any types of glass that can poisin fish? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but I can get glass panneling at a good price from http://auction.bidthenbuy.com/Pottery_and_Glass-870-1.html.

I am just a bit worried about going through a huge mission, only to find out it was for nothing. I know this is probley the wrong place to ask this type of question but nobody can help me.

Thanks
Rusty

I'm pretty sure no glass will actually harm fish. Leaded glass MIGHT, but since they make lead plant weights for use in aquariums, this shouldn't be a big issue.

However, I do know that some types of glass are not suitable for making aquariums out of, since they break too easily. Heat tempered glass, for example would be a bad choice.

Beyond that, I haven't a clue.
