My wife just bought me a 240 gallon tank for Christmas, and I am looking for freshwater filtration Ideas. I have several 10 gallons and a 55 gallon up and running, I have always used penguin emperor hang on filters. this tank has built in overflows. I will add pictures to this post soon.

I dont really know what youre asking about. Do you want filter media ideas? or what container to use as your filter? Do you want something really quiet or something really powerful? What quantities and species of animals will you be adding?

I guess I'm asking, Should I try to purchase? Or build my own wet dry system? What size pump should I use in it? How much water should a wet dry hold for a 240 gal tank? I was just looking for ideas. Thanks.
