Stripe or Motley Stripe

Marcel Poots Oct 12, 2003 03:07 AM

I have a difference of opinion with someone. He thinks he bought a Striped Motley. I say he bought a Stripe. The head is connected and the stripe is much wider as in Motley stripe. What do you think?

... would be my vote. Everything I've heard from the major breeders says that when you cross Striped-Motleys, the offspring which are Stripes will have that crosshatching and broken patterns. I'm told it's very hard to recover a true stripe appearance after it's been crossed into motley lines.

"Mice. And rats. If that bothers you, I can call them 'cows' instead."
