There is a show on right now. I tuned in figuring it would be an interesting documentary on large constrictors, but instead it talks about how dangerous boas and pythons are in captivity. It mentions how Burmese are responsible for the deaths of the most pet owners each year! It also states that Green Anacondas have a determination to eat humans and they judge the size differance between men and women (Yeah, a determined snake with judgemental capability). I am not even done watching the show and I am allready furious.

I allready live in a city with strict exotic animal laws, and this type of show is what makes other citys do the same. These shows are based on opinions rather then facts becasue that will draw in higher ratings.

I just want to rant a little. I pretty much own at least one of each species listed on this show and I know many others that do also. This is the type of misinformation that causes the responsible keepers to get into trouble, and somehow it has to end. I wish I knew how we could make that happen.

Billy,i couldn't agree with you more.I also watched that program last night and although i know it will only bring negative attention to the large consrtictors,i couldn't help but laugh my a** off at most of the things they were saying.Snakes dont "judge" size as they mentioned (as we all know) but attack first and figure out later.I am not sure why i am telling YOU that cause i am sure you already know but i felt like ranting also.On one more note,my favorite was when the amythistine(scrub)python killed the dog then went to eat the child and THEN when it realized that the adults were coming it let him go and slithered away.RIGHT!!TOO funny!Just thought i would put ion my 10 cents Sonny Aumada/Silly Serpents

I disagree, I think the best part was the the gentleman who stated that retics had bad attitudes and let the police shoot his in the head with a .22
What an informative documentary.

man F animal planet, all they ever run is the retarted "funniest videos" garbage, and when thats not on, they have some totally wack and dishonest show about herps just to draw attention from people who have no clue about reptiles, for the "shock value". And then these people eat up every word. Its the sad truth
