Tiger oscars???

babysdaddy Oct 08, 2007 01:33 PM

I've been keeping a 15 gallon hi tank for about 3-4 years now (Tetras), just added 2 baby RT oscars(2". On day 2 the oscars were lazing about on the bottom....not looking very good. Never kept oscars b4...I know they're AGGRESIVE and need good h2o quality. The h2o is clean and condtioned, my bio filter is a little new(but up and running). I have 2 OT filters running and the temp is ¡Ã 78¨¬. What goin on.....what am I doin wrong? R they just gettin acclimated?

Oscars lay on their sides and stress. It is what they do. Feed them and let them get used to the place. It isn't so much that they are so aggressive as that they get big enough for many things to fit in their mouths.
Be aware too that those oscars will outgrow that 15 in a few months time.
