HELP!! fuzzy white growth on my betta

obeonenz Oct 19, 2007 10:14 PM

I purchased two betta's last week and both have died, I noticed they both had a white fuzzy growth on them before they died it started with a little growth and then covered their entire body. My last surviving fish I have had for awhile now has just developed the same growth, it is looking a little limp. I have it in a jar of clean water, and I have put some antibacterial rememdy in the water, what is it? and what more can I do to help save it?

It sounds like a fungus. You will need an anti fungal medication, such as pimafix and aquarium salt. For the salt add 1 teaspoon per gallon of water and for the pimafix, just follow the directions on the bottle.
