Peace lily bulb question?

Hi
The peace lilly bulb thats sold for bettas that you simply drop it in the water and it grows is it truly aquatic plant?

I ask this as wanted a few for my tank but if its not a true aquatic plant it will die . Granted I can set it so it grows out of canopy rear but than the top of plant wont have light

Lia-

As far as I know peace lilies are not aquatic plants. They are potted houseplants, kept fairly moist, but they like to dry out between waterings.

Some plants like to be kept in water to grow roots, especially those that prefer moist soil. That doesn't mean they are aquatic plants, though.

Thanks for the link I just read it to bad thats what I thought after reading other link. I was going to order some as none sold around here and I wanted a bulb to drop in tank watch it grow but since its not a true aquatic plant infact not aquatic at all .
I wont do it now as it will intime die . Will stick with vals as they are grwoing wewll for me and truly aquatic.
