minnow trap

i need to know how to make a minnow trap and also i go fishing in a pond near my house for two hours maybe more or less,but how long does it take for minnows to go in it and were should i place it.

placing it near docks or pillars in the water or near weeds is usually a good bet. i always leave my traps out overnight, but i guess that once a few go in it, the rest join in faster. bread and some pet foods work well.
