Are these white spots fuzzy or salty looking?

No the just look like his scales changed colour, the spots have no different texture than the rest of him.
I'm worried that what my cory has is contagious!!! My Platy was hanging around the bottom a lot but I didn't think I had to worry, this morning I wake up and hes dead! He doesn't have any marks o his body like my cory cat does but I'm worried I don't want all my fish to die, but I don't either want to kill my cory cat for nothing!
The only white spots that I can think of is ick, and that is contagious. However, you said it just looks like the scales turned white no salty appearance. Ick looks like your fish got dropped in salt when it gets to it's bad stages. In the initial stages it looks like just little white spots. Do a google image search for ick. See if that's what it looks like. Do it soon so you might have a chance to save your fish. What are your water parameters?

ok I just had ick if your fish has white dots on them or on there fins it probly is ick go to the store and buy something called quick cure it works really well and if you read and ask around it is used by alot of people I was told that my fish where fish food or in other words dead but all my fish lived but it could go eather way my dad had ick and almost all his fish died also it could take more then 3 days to treat but after 5 days make sure you do a small water change not a big one just enough to take a lil off the top about 10% or less and I wouldnt add water to the tank while treating them I hope this helps (oh and make sure you take your filters out)turning up the heat is up to you but I didnt do it 82 degress no higher
