No pics off hand...
After trying multiple "prettier" methods with my eel, I gave up and went for the duck tape. Literally.
I have the glass covers that are sealed from the flip lid on back and all the way around. The tape goes over the intake and outtake tubes to my canister filter, and completely seal the tubes to the tank so he can't wiggle out around them. There is a tiny hole cut through the back for the heater cord to go through. Literally the whole back half of the top is ducktaped to the tank itself. Not just pieces here and there - all the way around.
The flip up lids have one brick on each one. Tape wasn't practical for maintainance purposes.
I have a nice wood canopy over the top to cover all this tackiness. It keeps my eel safe and secure, and that's all I care about.
If your eel is smaller, obviously not this much tape would be necessary. Seal the exits and put a little extra on to be safe. Mine is very large and strong though and can brace himself on the bottom to push a lid/top off.
any ideas on a tank setup, i only have 55 gal tank so far
Gonna have to be a little more specific...what do you mean by "tank setup?"
Filtration, amount of rockwork, heating, etc...
...all of the above?
all the above lol
