Snowflake Moray Question....

zoolady Dec 11, 2005 10:10 PM

I have seen Snowflake Morays in two different pet stores in the past. one was selling a "Freshwater" Snowflake Moray. And said it was best kept in Brackish water. The other was selling a Snowflake Moray that they had in an all marine tank...... Is there any difference in these two morays? Is there two different types of Snowflake morays????
PLease help me figure this one out...

Could not find anything there on teh snowflake. I went to a link about freshwater eels and someone else had asked about thiers. The response did not help. He said the person needed to ID the eel as a true freshwater first. I did talk to someone else yesterday though who said the eels I mentioned are indeed two different snowflakes. one is fresh water and the other Marine.. The freshwater of course requiring BRACKISH water for long term living.

Sounds about right...I am not aware of any true freshwater moray. They all require salt to some extent.
