I am setting up a 55 gal FOWLR tank. The tank is set up and has water in it. The tank has been set up for about 3 weeks and water test results are as follows: Specific gravity-1.024,Nitrate-05-10,Nitrite-0,Alkalinity-300ppm,pH-8.4. Does all this sound ok. My main question is would it be better to use live sand/rock or a wet/dry filter system or is it ok to use both. I plan to use both and have already added live sand. I have about 2".Also when adding live rock I have read to only add 10lbs at a time. Is this true? Since I have not purchased the wet/dry filter system yet, I wanted to clear this up before buying it.
