which would you choose and why

BRB or blood python

Let's see, do you want a big fat humidity-needing snake or a smaller, less girthy humidity-needing snake? Adult bloods need big cages, adult BRBs don't.

Some people love BRBs and some people love bloods. Bloods sure do look exotic with their cool eyes. I think the humidity thing for these two is a pain in the neck if you don't live in an area with moderate humidity. I think regular old boa constrictors blow these two away in terms of personality and keeping characteristics. I also think Cal kings are better.

I have heard of folks who swear by bloods, saying they are the perfect large-but-not-too-large python. To each his own, and whichever you get, enjoy.
