Hi,
My dad and I are building a two hundred gallon salt water tank. On one of our freshwater tanks has a florecsent light bulb that we like, it is a Penn-Plax Ultra Tri-Lux. What would you suggest is a good bulb, cosidering cost and performance?

Thanks,
Morgan

That depends.Do you want live rock, coral, or mairne plants. If not. some 10,000K and actinic fluorescent bulbs will do. If you want coral you would need metal halides. Rule of thumb is 5 watts per gallon if you want any type of coral.
