Randalls goby jumped out of tank?!!!!!?

goodmoon Jul 01, 2006 12:32 AM

Had a randalls goby for about two weeks. I have a heat problem so I keep the lid of my tank propped up. Well once I got back from my weekend vacation in mexico (I left the bf to feed and check on the fish) I discovered that the goby was nowhere to be found. A few days later I found him under the seat of my desk chair (the nano tank is on my desk). What would make him have the need to jump out of the aquarium?

Though most fish will jump out of a tank . Gobies-blennies are known for it.
They just dont know that outside the tank they will die. There are a few fish that NEVER jump most fall in the middle range might jump might not but gobies and blennies are big jumpers .
