I'm setting up a new 50 gallon tank. I've got a protein skimmer, a bio filter, and an undergravel filter. The lighting in inexpensive flourescent (fish only tank).
The tank has been up for 6 weeks with 2 damsils. I have done 1 10% water change. I thought not changing the water would speed up the cycle. Right now the chemical levels are:
Ammonia - 1ppm
Nitrite - oppm
Nitrate - 10ppm
The levels haven't changed in a couple of weeks.
Has the tank finished cycling and I need to do more frequent water changes to keep the ammonia down or is the tank still cycling? Am I ok to start adding other fish?
Thank,
Brad
