I've had 2 violet gobies for about 9 months now. I went from a 10 gallon to a 30 gallon recently, so I decided to get more fish. (Yes, I do realize I would need a bigger tank eventually) I got 3 angels, 2 mollies, already had a plecostamous (sp?). My husband and I decided to get another plec. but of course we get to the store and they had green spotted puffers. He got 2 of them. Things were great! The puffers are incredible fish. One night I got home from work and took care of the fish and then left to join my husband at a friend's house. We came back the next afternoon. I noticed that one of the puffers' belly was full even though they had not eaten in over 12 hours. I fed the fish some food and then noticed one of my dragons was dead. Not only dead, but also half eaten. That explains the full belly. It was gross, but didn't strike me as that odd because I figured once it died, the puffer started to eat off of it. I got up the next morning and the other dragon was swimming around looking for food. Looked closer and saw that half of his fins were gone! The puffer was eating him alive! My husband removed both puffers and now my battle is trying to keep the dragon alive. He seemed ok at first, but now he is paralyzed half way done his body.

I have bought just about everything to help him heal and regenerate, but now it seems like his body is kinked where the paralysis begins. I am noticing atrophy of his muscles (that or he is getting bulky in his front half) I'm not sure what to do.

I am making sure that he gets food, I am making regular partial water changes and using Melafix, among other things. I am not familiar with this kind of problem. Can his body still function internally? I'm not sure if he can process food in his condition.

Please help!
