lionfish sticking head out of water

hi i just got my lionfish about 3 weeks ago and about 2 days ago he started reaching his head out of the water. i heard it could be a lack of oxygen, but i do my water changes and have had the tank running about 3 years and never had a problem with that before... please help. thanks

First, I just want to say I have no experience with lionfish (the beautiful creatures that they are), but if you think it is lack of oxygen, I would say you should do something about it. You could add an airator. Drs. Foster and Smith have a beautiful bubble contraption that I want to get for my next aquarium.
Of course, it could be something else, I hope not though.

I do have a pretty good airator. i also heard that he could have ate a hermit crab and it is causing stress on him. im not sure. hopefully its nothing.
