Standard acclimation question

coj0nes Jun 12, 2007 05:58 PM

So after being successfull with a marine tank for a while I'm going to try to keep an anemone. Quick acclimation question: should I isolate all the hermit crabs before I put the acclimated BTA in the tank? I'd hate to see them eat an anemone before it got a chance to locate itself. I figure the anemone's posin will be a sufficient deterrent, but I just wasn't sure if the stress from shipping / acclimation would disable the poisons effectiveness. - John

I would just put it in. The crabs are more in danger than the anemone.
