Anemones killing all the fish

Melodyrmyers Jul 20, 2007 03:08 PM

We just put a caribbean anemone into our salt water tank a couple of weeks ago and everyone was fine until this past weekend when 3 of the fish died for no reason and the false clown fish disappeared from the tank. The anemone was swelled up and we think that's where the clown fish disappeared to. Why is this anemone killing the fish in the tank. The only fish left is a domino damsel who seems to be fine.

Thank you.

While anemones are know to kill fish they usually eat them. If your
finding dead fish it is likely that you have other issues such as water quality or stress issues rather than an assassin anemone.
