Clownfish with popeye-I think

zibbyds Sep 14, 2007 10:40 PM

I think my lil clown fish has a bad cse fo popeye......as i'm typin he just dove outa the water then all the way down and stayed there for bout a half a minute!! Hasnt done that in a week! Maybe thats a good sign. Anyway he stays at the top of the tank kind of like he can't go down cuz his eyes mainly one is keeping him afloat. Was almost like he was trying to get air too. I put another line in today just in case. I have been hand feeding him marine mix frozen food and brine shrimp frozen and beef heart, frozen and bioblend for clowns. Not all of course but mixing a bit trying to see if i can get him eating. He does eat from my hand, only way he can eat it, I think cuz of his eyes, he cant see well. I treated with Marycyn-two this past week and now since the 5 days of that is done and isnt getting better I am using, Maracyn Plus(liquid). I sure hope something works. Or I and the fish store misdiagnosed. I do have pics to show. Thanks in advance. Oh he was in a tank with a lg blue ring angel and a black lip/line damsel fish, now in his own 10 gal hospital tank.

That sounds just terrible, however, I don't have any experience in saltwater aquariums. I wish I could help. I just wanted to tell you that your picture wasn't showing for me (I just saw one on another post so I'm wondering if you put the link in the right place). There is a place for an Image URL below the post, and you have to upload your picture onto a host site (like photobucket) and then use the direct link and put that in the Image URL space. Pictures are always a plus.

OK just how far will the eye/eyes stick out? It looks almost like it could detatch if he bumps it just right. I can aslo see an air bubble like section on it???? Any ideas?
