hi there my name is jon and i am new to this site and i am looking for some help...

i went into my local marine centre today and they had this fantastic young volitan lionfish probably 6 or 7 inches long, now i would love to put him in but i have a juvenile koran angel that's on the turn to becoming adult and a christmas wrasse in a 300 litre tank which is soon getting upgraded to a 1000 litre betta lifespace,.. will they play nicely together or will my 2 fish rip the lion to pieces????...????

Hi there Jon. Welcome to the boards. I have absolutely no idea about your question, but I wanted to welcome you and let you know that your question is now a "hot topic" which will draw people to your post in hope that you will get a quick response. Good luck with your tank, and fish.

thanks for your response..., what is a " hot topic " and did it become one???

do you know where would be the best place to find out about the lion fish???

A "hot topic" shows up on the main page luring members to your post. It's just a way of saying, hey this person needs help and I (the moderator) can't answer it for one reason or another. Your post is a hot topic, you can see the *HOT TOPIC* in red when you open your post.

The best site I can think of is below. Check the lionfish section under the marine & saltwater fish, as well as the compatibility chart. I checked out the Wrasses and Angels with the lionfish and caution is recommended. You could also try doing a google search for lionfish and see if you can find compatible tankmates. You should get a response from someone who knows their stuff on here. It may take a couple of days, but the information is well worth the wait (JMHO).
