Hi i have just started saltwater, i use to breed discus so i do have some experience with fish.
the tank is a new tank. i have live sand as well as bio spira in it. I currently try to do 30 percent water change every day because i dont think the bio spira did its job.
I have had two 1 1/2 antennata lionfish for three days already. Yesterday one of them died.
The tank just has sand in it, no rocks, ph 8.2, temp 75, salt 1.021
the one living lion fish only stays in one corner. yesterday he ate two ghost shrimps and thats it. Then he just moves back to the corner. does not swim around too much
My question is, in the beginning is this normal? when do they constantly start swimming around?
any tips? (im thinking that getting rocks will help? any prefered types?)
