Does size of the hermit crab living in a tank

kayla_d Sep 06, 2005 02:46 PM

I bought a smallish hermit crab today and put it in with 2 med. sized hermit crabs they are a weebit bigger then the one I brought.
One of the oldies is climbing on top of the new ones shell and chasing it around the tank. Is this normal behaviour? The ones I have I rescued. I have got the tank set up right and the food needs correct.

I think they should be fine if you don't witness any actual aggression. Like claw dueling or any damage to your crab's bodies.

I have two small hermit crabs, one medium and one large and they do exhibit curiousity about each other, especially if some one is changing shells, there's always a buddy to see what the other one is doing.
