maybe a moult?

1st time crab owner needs help!
I have a fairly large crab that I got about 2 wks ago from the pet store. He was pretty active, eating well, exploring etc... up untill a few days ago. Now he appears reluctant to come out of his shell (he IS alive, he does occasionally come out part-way and his antennae are moving) and does not appear to be eating much, if at all. He is not digging. Is it a possible moult or do I have to worry about whether he is sick or not? Also... Sunday is deep clean day for my tanks. Is it ok for me to disturb him to change the substrate and clean the tank? Or should I just leave it alone untill he is done? thanks for your help.

He is more than likly de-stressing.. you can go ahead and do a deep clean. To get faster replys I suggest either going to crabstreetjournal or petshub.com you can also access my site at
