i got three hermit crabs for christmas and i just have a few questions about them.
1. one of them seems to always be sitting on the sponges that i have set up in the cage, is there any reason why its doing this?
2. a different crab seems to always be semi-burying himself in the crab house that i have for about 2 weeks, could it be starting to molt. and what is the most obvious ways to tell if a crab is ready or going to be molting.

Answer: Did you pick it up? Make sure it is alright.

Answer: It could either be molting or post-purchase stress. How much sand it in your tank?
